Our Green Initiative

As a commercial laundry we understand that our impact on the environment is significant and we take our environmental responsibilities seriously.

Since 2016 Brompton Laundry:

Introduced Ecolab’s Oxy Guard Washing System using 40 degree washing temperatures for all washes

Committed ourselves to Gas Machinery throughout the plant, significantly reducing our carbon footprint

Purchased new Washing Machinery cutting water usage by 30%

Are eliminating plastic wrapping for all customers – scheduled for completion Feb 2020

As a member of the TSA, through the Government’s Climate Change Agreement, we are committed to reducing our carbon emissions by a further 10% by 2020.
We are also making funds available for the following innovations:
Introduction of a Water Heat Recovery system
Development of solar energy to provide electricity to the plant
Introduction of electric vehicles for short distance deliveries
